We were visiting Silver City ate at this place and it was SO delicious! Both red & green sauces really good and GLUTEN FREE, which was a bonus for us since so many use flour to make their sauces in New Mexico. Pastor tacos very delicious as well. Ate there twice before going home but we bought a house and are moving back in a few weeks. Gonna be a regular at Pinto for sure!!

fish tacos were pretty good, presented nicely with red cabbage. the Horchata was very bad though, tasted artificial, with a diet like after-taste. service was good.

We were in town to visit the College, So on Sunday we stop by for brunch which is one of a few Mexican restaurant's that is open on Sunday' s.in our party of four we had a large bowl of Meundo with all the fixings, my brother enjoyed it rich chille taste not overpowering with heat, his only knocked is that he would have liked the tripe to have been in bigger pieces and more of it. The boys had smoothed wet. Carne asada and pork burritos both were very tasty and filling. Green chille french fries home cut style topped off with cheese another tasty dish. I had the combination C with three items. I had both red and green chille sauce on my dish both were good. We met the owner Simon Ortiz very nice gentleman along with the staff. They answered any and all questions about the menu and made some suggestions for us. Very friendly restaurant with a great selection of great dishes they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall when in town this is a must stop for us Good food and good service is a can't miss..Enjoy your meal. .

My husband and I are HUGE fans of their double cheeseburgers with roasted green chili. The meat is crazy flavorful and rich, and the chili gives it that extra kick without overpowering the whole shebang. Most green chili cheeseburgers are all heat with a crumbly dry meat patty as a vehicle for consumption, but not these burgers. Definitely give them a try. I gave four stars instead of five because I had their chimichanga meal a while back with beans and rice that was a little lackluster, but I'm willing to give it another shot. The burgers keep me coming back though, for sure.

Standard selection of Mexican fare. Food is pretty good altho the chips were a little burnt. Friendly service but atmosphere felt like a cold McDonald's.

Friendly service but super blah food. I had some sort of enchilada. Maybe the American food is better?

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
